Lead Analyst, Revenue Cycle Applications Location: Remote (Minimal travel required)
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Revenue Cycle IT Analyst to support and optimize our MEDITECH Billing and Accounts Receivable (B/AR) systems across multiple hospitals. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless revenue cycle processes, improving workflows, and implementing strategic enhancements to drive operational efficiency. The Lead Analyst will collaborate with clinical, financial, and IT teams to troubleshoot issues and improve system functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations within the MEDITECH B/AR module, ensuring system stability and identifying performance improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot issues related to billing, claims processing, and accounts receivable workflows across Acute and Ambulatory environments.
- Develop and maintain interfaces between MEDITECH and other systems such as clearinghouses and payer platforms.
- Work closely with Central Billing Office counterparts to support extracts and interfaces from MEDITECH B/AR systems.
- Identify optimization opportunities to enhance revenue cycle efficiency and reduce billing errors.
- Collaborate with IT, clinical, and financial teams to implement system updates and new functionalities.
- Test and validate system upgrades, patches, and customizations to ensure compliance and performance.
- Create user training materials and provide hands-on training for revenue cycle staff.
- Monitor system performance and generate reports on billing metrics and revenue trends.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other healthcare regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, IT, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred).
- 4+ years of healthcare IT revenue cycle management experience, with expertise in MEDITECH B/AR systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes, claims management, and payer requirements.
- Experience with system integrations, HL7 interfaces, and clearinghouse workflows.
